Nalgene Water Bottle
Somehow over the years I’ve acquired 4 Nalgene water bottles, and I think I *finally* have enough. I use these every day, and often bring two with me to hike to make sure I have plenty of water. These bottles are dishwasher safe, and can handle having hot water in them, which makes them great to bring camping on colder trips too – I like to fill the bottle 3/4 of the way with hot water and wrap it in a sock or clothing to keep in my sleeping bag at night! Base layers are worn directly on your skin. They should be moisture wicking for the purpose of keeping you cool and dry. Look for materials such as merino wool or synthetic fabrics, and avoid cotton at all costs since it retains moisture, takes a long time to dry, and holds no insulative value. There are different weights of merino wool base layers, complimenting different temperatures outdoors.
