Private Tours: Exclusively Your Adventure
Ground Up Adventures' private tours are exclusive to your party. Our team works with you to plan a day hike around your interests, experience and goals.
All Gear Provided
Backpacks, trekking poles and other necessary equipment are provided for your day on the trail. Bring a good pair of hiking boots. You are welcome to use your own equipment, too.

Day Hike Rates
Rates are per person and drop as your party grows. Half days run 2–6 miles round trip; full days run 6–13.
- In exceptional cases, an additional $60 per hour may apply when a full-day hike exceeds 8 hours.
- Prices do not include guide gratuity.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Your deposit is 50% of the total trip price and is nonrefundable. The remaining balance is due the day before your trip.
If you cancel 15 or more calendar days before your trip, you are eligible for a refund of everything you have paid above the deposit.
If you cancel 8–14 calendar days before your trip, you are eligible for the smaller of 50% of the total trip price or the amount you have paid above the deposit.
If you cancel 7 calendar days or fewer before your trip, no refund is available. If you have paid only the deposit, there is no refundable amount.
For an eligible refund, we deduct only the actual card-processing fee retained by Stripe that is proportional to the refundable balance amount. We exclude fees on the deposit, add no administrative fee, and round the fee deduction down in your favor. A refund cannot be less than $0.
Contact Shelby to request a cancellation. Cancellation timing uses calendar days in Denver time. Shelby handles cancellations and refunds manually, and eligible refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of your cancellation request.
For an existing booking, the policy you accepted at checkout and received in your confirmation email applies.
