Ground Up Adventures is joining the weekend with a booth, a bear safety clinic, and a guided Lost Lake hike. Come say hello and learn more about safely adventuring in the Rocky Mountains.
Looking ahead? Ask GUA about a summit date in 2026 or 2027. The festival’s Lost Lake hike is a separate outing, not a 14er summit.

Bear safety clinic
Learn with Ground Up Adventures at our bear safety clinic on Saturday at 5 pm. Bring your questions about sharing the trails with wildlife and preparing for your next adventure.
Sunday, September 27 · 8:30 am meetup
Hike to Lost Lake
Meet at the GUA booth at 8:30 am, then carpool to the Lost Lake hike via Cottonwood Pass. We plan to start hiking around 9 am. Register for this guided hike separately from your 14er Fest pass and complete the GUA waiver below.

Festival pass & meeting place
Vendor Village is at 402 E Main St, Buena Vista, CO 81211. The vendor expo is open to visit without a festival pass. For guided trail outings and classes, buy a festival Trail Pass and pick up your wristband at the registration booth.
Your festival pass and GUA hike registration are separate. Complete and sign both GUA forms below to register for the hike, and follow the organizer’s wristband and trail-outing check-in instructions. There is no participant cap or added GUA fee for this hike, and no separate approval is needed.

14er Fest Lost Lake hike — Sunday, September 27, 2026. Meet at the GUA booth at 8:30 a.m.; carpool to begin hiking around 9 a.m.
First, complete five sections with your trip details, participant and emergency contact information, insurance details, and health information. Then review your answers and sign the Health & Medical Information Form and the Risk Release to finish your registration. No separate approval is needed.
Have your emergency contact and health insurance details handy. GUA requests health information to help understand participant needs and respond in an emergency. Read the full medical authorization and risk-release terms before signing.
There is no participant cap or added GUA fee for this hike. A festival Trail Pass is still required; registering for 14er Fest does not register you for this hike.
Each adult completes a separate form. One adult can include their own minors.
