Day Hikes and Golden-Hour Trips
We hike a few miles, pick the location, and arrive before golden hour — then work through the tips and technique that turn a good view into a good photograph while Colorado does its part.

Astrophotography Trips
Hike beneath some of the darkest skies in Colorado and photograph the Milky Way. Buena Vista's remote trails are exceptional for stargazing, which makes them a good classroom whether you have shot the night sky before or never tried.

Multi-Day Photo Expeditions
Backpack into the high country for two or three days and shoot sunrise, sunset and the stars from the same camp. Logistics and backpacking gear are handled — everything except your camera kit — so you can put your attention on the work and the walk.

What a Photo Trip Costs
Photo trips are quoted around your route, trip length and group size. Tell the GUA team what you would like to photograph, and we will put together a plan and full quote.
Four Ways to Shoot It
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Your deposit is 50% of the total trip price and is nonrefundable. The remaining balance is due the day before your trip.
If you cancel 15 or more calendar days before your trip, you are eligible for a refund of everything you have paid above the deposit.
If you cancel 8–14 calendar days before your trip, you are eligible for the smaller of 50% of the total trip price or the amount you have paid above the deposit.
If you cancel 7 calendar days or fewer before your trip, no refund is available. If you have paid only the deposit, there is no refundable amount.
For an eligible refund, we deduct only the actual card-processing fee retained by Stripe that is proportional to the refundable balance amount. We exclude fees on the deposit, add no administrative fee, and round the fee deduction down in your favor. A refund cannot be less than $0.
Contact Shelby to request a cancellation. Cancellation timing uses calendar days in Denver time. Shelby handles cancellations and refunds manually, and eligible refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of your cancellation request.
For an existing booking, the policy you accepted at checkout and received in your confirmation email applies.
