The Trip at a Glance
  1. Day 1Meet up late in the morning to get gear together, get to know each other and go over the plan. After a quick safety brief we hike in, stop for lunch on the trail, and reach camp in the afternoon. We explore, learn tips for camping with your pup, then share dinner and relax with our furry friends.
  2. Day 2Breakfast, views and some play time with the pups, then we pack up camp and hike out, back at the cars in the early afternoon.

A general outline, not a schedule. Pace and timing flex with the group and the weather, and we take as many breaks as we need. You will get a detailed itinerary and packing list before the trip.

From Past Hikers

“From the start, Shelby was incredibly accommodating with my puppy, Roxy. She made every effort to ensure my sometimes-carsick girl was comfortable and secure in her truck as she drove us off-road to the various trails. She provided tips on how to safely hike with Roxy, ensuring I knew the proper commands to use, when to put Roxy behind us, and emphasizing the importance of giving my developing puppy a great experience.”

Shanna L.

“I joined a beginner women's backpacking trip and learned SO much. From safety, to wildlife, to navigation and tips and tricks - we covered everything. I feel so much more empowered and equipped to hike and camp in the backcountry.”
