This is the tent I use for my backpacking clients and it truly is such an affordable 2-person backpacking tent, with a lot of great features for the price. Kari Traa merino wool top

Base layers are worn directly on your skin. They should be moisture wicking for the purpose of keeping you cool and dry. Look for materials such as merino wool or synthetic fabrics, and avoid cotton at all costs since it retains moisture, takes a long time to dry, and holds no insulative value. There are different weights of merino wool base layers, complimenting different temperatures outdoors.

Merino base layer bottoms are a fantastic addition when hiking in colder temperatures, camping, or just wanting some extra comfort. All of the options above are fantastic, but if you can’t decide, I really love the Kari Traa bottoms.

These are my FAVORITE snowshoes for winter adventures. I got these at the beginning of winter 2021, and have enjoyed plenty of winter hikes in them since, including over 19 miles one day! They are fantastic in so many different types of terrain, including even rockier areas. My favorite feature is the heel raisers in the back to really assist with hiking up steep inclines.
