In Buena Vista, breakfast is an event in itself. Whether you prefer a quick coffee and pastry or a full breakfast spread, you’ve got some options. For your classic American breakfast, Jan’s Restaurant is a local favorite. For a more modern breakfast, check out the new Cool River Cafe! You may recognize this one since they have another location in Breckenridge, Colorado. If you’re looking for something lighter, The Long Table Coffee, Roosters Crow, and Roastery Coffee offer excellent coffee and pastries and are local favorites. And for something on the go, the breakfast burritos at Cafe 24 in Johnson’s Village and Brown Dog Coffee’s options are simply delicious.

FROM LIGHT BITES TO HEARTY MEALS: LUNCH AND DINER IN BUENA VISTA.

When it comes to lunch and dinner, Buena Vista and Salida both have some great options. For a hearty lunch, consider 50 Burger in Salida, right off of – you guessed it, Highway 50. If you’re in Buena Vista, Biggie’s sandwiches or K’s Dairy Delight are sure to fill you up. For something more balanced, Simple Eatery and Sorelle offer delicious gourmet options. 

Once dinner rolls around, you’ll find there are an array of choices. House Rock Kitchen offers an innovative menu with a fun outdoor patio, Crave has incredible Italian food and pizza, while Jade Garden offers delightful Chinese cuisine. The chicken & broccoli and steamed dumplings are especially good! For a delicious grass-fed burger, check out Eddyline Restaurant on South Main. And if you’re looking for a more luxurious dining experience, Wesley and Rose restaurant inside of the Surf Hotel is one to remember.
